Lost In Sunshine
movie synopsis
Lyn Blue is slowly suffocating in tiny Sunshine, Texas. She distracts herself with animal rescues and impromptu re-enactments of her favorite movies. But, in the end, none of it matters, because she knows she’s going to die.
Bob Brown is desperately convinced that he has the power to manifest his own happy reality. A new beginning in an out-of-the-way town is just what he needs to finish his self-help manuscript, submit it to a publisher, and become a best-selling author.
When Lyn hires Bob for a job, he thinks she “sees” something in him. Lyn brushes him off. She didn’t ask to be like her mom that way. But, when Lyn learns she’s unexpectedly pregnant, and Bob lends an eager, sympathetic ear, she glimpses something: escape.
They flee Sunshine. What Bob doesn’t know is that Lyn’s not sure her baby is her husband’s, and she stole cash from work. What Lyn doesn’t know is that Bob is a gambling addict who abandoned his wife and child.
Lyn’s been trying to sink her own boat for as long as she can remember, and as her 30th birthday gets closer, she’s been upping the ante. This pregnancy doesn’t change her future, or does it? Running off with Bob isn’t going to make her life better, or is it?
It's now or never - if she and Bob can both stop running away, they’ll have a chance at finding themselves. If not, they’ll remain lost in sunshine.
